Höxter, 14 August 2024. Optibelt Produktions GmbH was awarded with the renowned seal of approval “Sicher mit System” (SmS). Receiving this seal of approval represents an important step for the social sustainability of the Arntz Optibelt Group site in Thuringia.
“This certificate confirms that workplace health and safety is organised in a systematic and efficient way within the framework of occupational safety, and that our staff implements safety at work in a consistent and exemplary manner”, declares Lars Machold, Plant Manager of Optibelt Produktions GmbH. The Arntz Optibelt Group plans to implement and standardise this proven system on other German sites in order to ensure a high level of work safety.
This certification was carried out by the Professional Association of Raw Materials and Chemical Industry (BG RCI), which thoroughly reviewed Optibelt Produktions GmbH’s occupational safety management system according to the strict requirements of the SmS seal of approval. Notably, the association checked that all relevant contents of the “Leitfaden für Arbeitsschutzmanagementsysteme” (National guidelines for industrial safety management systems) had been implemented and that there were indicators of an efficient management and working behaviour with regard to work safety.
“This award is the result of outstanding collaboration between all OPG employees. We all work as one, and this common alignment has a positive effect on the daily operations of our staff, strengthening our commitment to a safe and healthy work environment”, emphasises Plant Manager Lars Machold.
The seal of approval “Sicher mit System” highlights the great importance the Arntz Optibelt Group places on safety and health. In addition to increasing legal certainty when meeting occupational safety requirements, it also ensures the creation of a healthy and safe work environment for all employees.
