Hoexter December 21, 2021. Oh, then let's fill up right away - and off we go...!" with these words Mayor Hartmann greeted management spokesman Reinhold Mühlbeyer when he arrived at Optibelt and was also the first to spontaneously inaugurate the new e-charging stations at Optibelt. Optibelt invited Mayor Hartmann and Claudia Koch, head of the building department and also managing director of the Landesgartenschau gGmbH, to a sustainability discussion, where the similarities between the sustainable development of a company and a state horticultural show geared towards sustainability were discussed.
“The requirements on the global market are now clear, there are clear trends towards sustainability and especially towards climate neutrality,” says Reinhold Mühlbeyer about the current developments in global supply chains. “With our new e-charging station in the Corveyer Allee area, we can offer our employees as well as our customers and visitors a solution when traveling with an e-vehicle!” continues Reinhold Mühlbeyer. From the company's perspective, this is another step among many, after the company announced in the summer that it would primarily source its electricity needs from renewable energies at all German locations.
The city of Höxter takes this as an opportunity to explain the aspects of sustainability of a state horticultural show for a city and also how this is of positive importance for citizens and local companies. “The State Horticultural Show serves as a motor for sustainability projects in Höxter and the entire region,” explains managing director Claudia Koch. Together with Mayor Daniel Hartmann, she is pleased that positive, sustainable urban development is also being promoted through the exemplary commitment of the Optibelt company.
Mayor Daniel Hartmann describes the entire development and significant improvement that the city of Höxter will experience here and also addresses other future issues for the city: “We want the transport turnaround and are working intensively on our mobility concept. With the introduction of the Holibri shuttles and the redesign of the station area, the attractiveness of local public transport will also be sustainably improved.
