optibelt ELASTOMIT-R X-ray protection qualities have proved themselves in the market as reliable and safe protection against X-rays up to 150 kV. In personal X-ray protection, Optibelt quality is used in X-ray aprons. Customers can choose from standard lead, lead-reduced and lead-free grades. All qualities are based on a vulcanised rubber matrix.

optibelt ELASTOMIT-R STANDARD

optibelt ELASTOMIT-R standard X-ray protection grades are made from a combination of lead and rubber (with a rubber base). The protective lead is added to a special form of rubber matrix.

In these rubber-based grades, the lead content is reduced and replaced by other suitable materials with a low specific gravity. Remarkably, the same shielding effect is achieved even though the weight has been reduced.

The lead-free grades are based on a rubber compound and do not contain any lead. The lead was completely replaced with other suitable metals with a similar specific weight. An identical shielding effect is obtained as a result.

They are also available as a single-coat material and in various equivalent Pb values ranging from 0.125 mm–1.00 mm Pb (according to national and international X-ray standards). The sheets can be produced to customers' requirements with fabric inserts and covers as well as different covering layers.

With reference to our consciousness regarding safety, all optibelt ELASTOMIT X-ray protection qualities without a fabric inlay up to a Pb equivalent of 0.35 mm Pb are 100% checked for defects during the production process using a Hi-Scan continuous X-ray system in order to guarantee maximum quality and safety at all times.
