Höxter, 28 October 2024. The Arntz Optibelt Group welcomed the power transmission members of the industrial distributors’ professional association VTH to its headquarters in Höxter on 15 and 16 October 2024. Over 50 participants, including leading specialist dealers, suppliers and industry experts, came together to gain insights into the latest developments and trends. The event focused heavily on innovation, quality and sustainable transformation within the technical trade.

As the host and a VTH quality partner, Optibelt launched into the two-day event with a tour of the factory. Participants were offered a window into the advanced production techniques used to craft high-performance belts that are specially tailored for applications in mechanical engineering, materials handling and automotive drives. With its ultra-modern testing procedures that simulate real operating conditions, Optibelt assures product quality and durability – clear hallmarks of the company’s aspiration to deliver reliability while achieving the highest standards.

At the event, Dr. Julia Brand-Tuerkoglu, Head of Legal & HSE Department, emphasised the importance of the three-pillar model of sustainability: economic stability, social responsibility and environmental commitment. Optibelt pursues ambitious sustainability goals and is ideally positioned with its ISO 50001 (energy management), ISO 14001 (environmental management) and ISO 45001 certification and the quality seal it was awarded for occupational safety by the employers’ liability insurance association.

“Our commitment is evident at every stage of production and beyond. Sustainability is an investment in both the future and the quality of our products,” declared Dr. Brand-Tuerkoglu.

One of the highlights of the event was a panel discussion on green transformation in the technical trade, to which Optibelt contributed valuable impulses from an industry leader perspective. The panellists were united in their view that sustainability is indispensable in the technical trade to remain successful in future. However, this must not come at the expense of product quality.

The Arntz Optibelt Group sees the event as endorsing its strategy of pursuing technological excellence paired with sustainable growth. “Our investments in research and development and our commitment to green transformation reflect our mission to play an active role in shaping the power transmission market,” affirms Regina Arning, Managing Director of the Arntz Optibelt Group.
