Second sales branch opened in November 2013
Sales in Russia have more than tripled since 2008
Höxter, 21 November 2013. By opening a new warehouse in Yekaterinburg, Arntz OPTIBELT Group has taken the next step in the ongoing expansion of its logistics and sales structure in Eastern Europe. The world’s leading manufacturer of high-performance drive belts began to operate its second branch in Russia on 01 November 2013. The new warehouse and sales office has a floor area of about 500 square metres.
“For OPTIBELT, this marks an important step in the process of raising the market potential in eastern Russia,” said Reinhold Mühlbeyer, CEO of Arntz OPTIBELT Group. “By opting for Yekaterinburg, we chose a key industrial location in Russia that, in terms of location and infrastructure, offers optimal site conditions in the region. We have effectively moved closer to our clients in the Ural region and in the eastern part of Russia.”
“By opening the new branch in Yekaterinburg, we have just enhanced our technical and logistics service delivery to clients in the region,” added Norbert Diestmann, Head of Sales Eastern Europe. “It is a step that will have positive ramifications for the company’s growth. OPTIBELT Russia has more than tripled its sales since 2008, and now contributes a major share to our sales total in Europe. And we expect to see the growth continue in the coming years.”
OPTIBELT’s footprint on the Russian market dates back to 2006 when the company opened its first branch office in the town of Dmitrov. The company employs a total of 20 staff in Russia, covering the areas sales, technical consultancy, warehousing, and accounting. The new warehouse and sales office supplements the existing location in Dmitrov near Moscow, whose combined storage and administrative space extends over roughly 1,200 square metres.
