OPTIBELT WALK AT THE ESEF 2016 IN UTRECHT
OPTIBELT WALK, the most recent member of the Arntz OPTIBELT Group, participated in a trade fair under the joint umbrella brand name for the first time, from 15 to 18 March at the ESEF 2016 in Utrecht (NL).
Höxter, March 23, 2016. The ESEF takes place every two years in Utrecht, in the Netherlands, and is the largest and most important trade fair for the component supply industry, product development and manufacture of machine parts in the Benelux countries. This year, more than 425 exhibitors, accommodated in nine trade-fair halls, presented their products to an international audience. Since OPTIBELT WALK already supplies special transmissions and gear parts to a large customer base in the machinery and plant engineering sector, the ESEF offered the ideal setting for an effective trade-fair presentation.
Two transmission exhibits, which were specially made for the ESEF, proved to be particularly popular at the OPTIBELT WALK stand. The metal components and the drive belts incorporated in these practical exhibits clearly demonstrated the strength and power of the new connection between OPTIBELT WALK, specialised in drive technology made of metal, and OPTIBELT, the belt specialist. Another transmission system also attracted a great deal of attention: weighing an impressive 500 kilograms, this was manufactured by OPTIBELT WALK for an electric bus made by the Dutch company VDL Bus.
And to demonstrate that the repertoire also includes much smaller and lighter products, a pair of ResQtec emergency rescue shears, used by the fire brigade to cut people free from cars after road accidents, was also on show. The planetary gear assembly in these shears was specially developed by OPTIBELT WALK. Various gear parts from the company’s own product portfolio nicely rounded off the well visited presentation at the WALK trade-fair stand.
Numerous worthwhile conversations were held on all four trade-fair days, not only with existing customers, but notably with many potential customers, whose interest had first been awakened by OPTIBELT WALK’s trade-fair presentation. This resulted in valuable new contacts being made and an extremely positive overall outcome of the trade fair.
