Arntz Optibelt Group is committed to sustainability: Meeting with the Solar Butterfly in Höxter.

|   Sustainability

On Tuesday, May 16, 2023, Reinhold Mühlbeyer, Managing Director of the Arntz Optibelt Group, met with the team of the Solar Butterfly, representatives of the city and LGS as well as other regional companies on the grounds of the State Garden Show in Höxter, among others, to discuss the topic of sustainability.

The occasion was a stopover of the world's largest sustainability tour in the region.

The Solar Butterfly will travel to six continents and 90 countries in four years. The mission: to work with people to find 1,000 solutions to stop global warming. At the tenth UN climate agreement in Paris, which will take place in December 2025, these ideas, projects and companies working on solutions to climate change will be presented.

The Arntz Optibelt Group has also long been on the path to climate neutrality. "We have Photovoltaic projects either set in motion or already established at all production sites worldwide," said Managing Director Reinhold Mühlbeyer. For the past two years, the group has been operating a solar plant in China, and a company-owned solar park with about 3,400 modules and 1.4 megawatts peak is currently being built in Höxter.  Arntz-Optibelt's production processes are also becoming increasingly energy efficient. "And we are working to ensure that our drive belts last longer and need to be replaced less."
