Hoexter, 10/19/2021. No surprise - it was driven by our Optibelt V-ribbed belt 6PK 1774Lb in the "high speed" version. After a total driving time of six and a half hours and 59 laps, the Porsche 911 GT3 R crossed the finish line with a lead of just under 8.8 seconds. This means that the 49th edition of the 24h race at the Nürburgring in 2021 will go down in history as the shortest race. Due to dense fog, the race was interrupted after six hours and only resumed after a weather break of over 14 hours.
Under the starting number 911, the Porsche customer team Manthey with factory driver Kévin Estre from France, Michael Christensen from Denmark and the Italian Matteo Cairoli extended its record as the most successful team at the 24-hour race with a total of seven victories at the 49th edition of the endurance classic. The success rounded off the 25th anniversary celebrations of the team from the Eifel region. At the same time, it was already the 13th success of a Porsche racing car.
