Emil Arntz’s secret recipe - The Arntz-Optibelt Group is awarded second prize at the BOW Special Award.

Höxter, 19 March 2019. Every two years the BOW e.V. - scholastic association of East-Westphalian-Lippe commerce - awards the BOW prize for the best human resources development measures and the special award for the best young personnel development officers in East-Westphalia-Lippe. The highly convincing Arntz-Optibelt Group project “Escape Room – Emil Arntz’s secret recipe” was awarded second prize.

Under the auspices of the Minister for Commerce, Innovation, Digitisation and Energy of the State of North-Rhine Westphalia, Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart, the BOW prize was awarded on 14 March 2019, for the fourth time. The BOW special award for young personnel development officers is for young and creative developers of human resources with innovative ideas implemented in the company.

The Arntz-Optibelt Group Human Resources developer Carmen Tetzlaff entered for this special award and walked away with second prize for the project “Escape Room – Emil Arntz’s secret recipe”. “The Escape Room offers the opportunity of presenting the company very differently”, explains Human Resources developer Carmen Tetzlaff. The founding history and products of this globally active corporate group headquartered in Höxter are playfully presented here.

Instead of exploring the company premises with groups of visitors, the cloistered “industrial spies” are here given one hour in the office of company founder Emil Arntz to find the secret optimal rubber mixture recipe. The scene is complemented with furniture from the former home of the company founder. To find the answer to the secret, visitors will need to learn as much as possible about the Arntz-Optibelt Group in order to find the key to the exit door.

The BOW e. V. rates projects by the innovation they contribute and their orientation towards current, future-proof issues, including social and economic trends. “Our Escape Room is a universal tool in the field of education and employer marketing, deployed for the selection of suitable trainees (by means of an assessment centre), for visitor schedules or for internal team building exercises”, says Human Resources developer Carmen Tetzlaff. A number of trainees and dual course students of the corporate group also participated in brainstorming and implementation of the riddles and continue in a project supporting role.

The mystery of "the secret recipe of Emil Arntz" must be solved to escape the Escape Room of the Arntz Optibelt group. See for yourself: www.optibelt.com/de/unternehmen/karriere/ausbildungsangebote/ausbildung-studium/
